  • Traditional Rioja Excellence – Family-run estate in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, focused on classic Rioja winemaking with spontaneous fermentations, long aging, and gravity-fed racking.

  • Estate-Grown Fruit – 50+ hectares of sustainably farmed, estate-owned vineyards with many vines over 50 years old on clay-limestone soils in Rioja Alta.

  • No Filtration, No Manipulation – Wines are never filtered or pumped; all rackings are done manually from cask to cask to preserve texture and purity.

  • Long-Aged, Cellar-Worthy Wines – Gran Reservas are aged for years in barrel and bottle before release, offering structure, elegance, and ageability that define classic Rioja.

Founded in 1992 by Pedro Peciña, former vineyard manager at La Rioja Alta, Bodegas Hermanos Peciña is a benchmark for traditional Rioja craftsmanship. Nestled in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, in the heart of Rioja Alta, the winery is built on a deep respect for heritage, meticulous vineyard care, and a commitment to purity and elegance.

The estate spans over 50 hectares of estate-owned vineyards, many with vines over 50 years old, grown sustainably on the region’s characteristic clay-limestone soils. All grapes are hand-harvested and sorted with exceptional precision to ensure only the highest quality fruit is used. Fermentations are spontaneous with native yeasts, and aging takes place in used American oak barrels, racked manually by gravity in the time-honored “trasiego” method, never pumped or filtered.

With an unwavering dedication to traditional methods and long aging, the wines of Bodegas Hermanos Peciña deliver a purity of fruit, structure, and complexity that speaks clearly of their origin. These are honest, soulful Riojas, crafted with patience, aged with purpose, and built to evolve.
