Domaine La Grange Tiphaine – Amboise’s Harmonious Expression of Terroir

Tucked into the serene hills near Amboise in the Loire Valley, Domaine La Grange Tiphaine is the result of over a century of viticultural passion, now reimagined by the visionary duo Damien and Coralie Delecheneau. Founded in the late 1800s by Alfonse Delecheneau, the estate remained in family hands before Damien took over in 2002, bringing a fresh, international perspective shaped by winemaking experiences in Bordeaux, California, and South Africa.

Today, the estate spans 15 hectares across Montlouis-sur-Loire, Touraine, and Touraine-Amboise, cultivating Chenin Blanc, Côt (Malbec), Cabernet Franc, Gamay, Grolleau, and Sauvignon Blanc. With vines rooted in flinty, clay-rich soils and many parcels reaching over 100 years of age, the wines achieve striking purity, texture, and balance.

La Grange Tiphaine is certified organic since 2004 and fully biodynamic, with every aspect of farming and winemaking aligned to natural rhythms. In the cellar, native yeast fermentations, gentle extraction, and aging in concrete or seasoned oak allow the terroir to speak freely. The wines, from the textural elegance of Clef de Sol to the joyful bubbles of Nouveau Nez, reflect both precision and soul.

Damien and Coralie have become recognized figures in the world of natural and terroir-driven wine, striking that rare balance between authenticity and finesse. Their work not only honors the traditions of the Loire but continues to push its expressions into thrilling new territory.
